A Brief History

We are an independent Caravanning Club started in 1996 with our own exemption certificate. Based in the East Riding of Yorkshire but drawing on members from much further afield.

All are welcome young or old it doesn't matter and that includes the caravan, all pets are welcome provided they are kept under supervision and we all abide by the country code. There is always the social tent available to all who camp with us

Our aim is to provide the opportunity for caravanner's to meet for weekends and the occasional five day meets. All our meets are organised and booked twelve month in advance mainly on farms, estates and the occasional certified site. The sites are basic, but with some splendid scenery, walking, cycling and motoring close by, and on land where you otherwise would never have the opportunity to camp. For the golfers most sites have a golf course close by.

Yorkshire Freeway Caravanning Club holds a D.E.F.R.A. exemption certificate this allows us to camp on land not licensed for leisure camping without applying for planning consent providing we have the landowners permission and the local authority do not object.

If you are not already a member we would love to have you in our Club. Print a Membership Form, complete and post.
